What happens to the baby?

Your baby is about 20 cm long and weighs approximately 240g. His/her skin gradually becomes thicker, even being transparent yet. His/her nails grow, as well as his/her hair, which you will be tenderly stroke in a few months.

And under the hair of your baby – in his/her small head, the period of division of nervous cells finishes. Their number is between 12 and 14 billion, and will remain the same until your child grows. After his/her 18th year of age, the number of nervous cells will gradually start decreasing.

Your thyroid gland, as well as the other organs, become more active. Due to its increased function, the temperature of your body becomes higher. It’s normal to feel inflows of hot waves and to sweat more than usual.

Sweating is your body’s natural way to release the toxins generated by your own body and the body of your baby.

If you are pregnant during the summer, you will feel inconvenience. To relieve such discomfort, take a rest at a pleasant and cool place. If you are pregnant during the winter, do not go too far with the number of warm clothes.
